Privacy Policy

Order Otter is a product of Bit Bros LLC ("we", "us"). This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we don't do much with your data.

What we collect

• Analytics (only with consent): If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful — pages visited, approximate region, device type, referring site, and which links or buttons you interact with (for example, opening the app, or submitting the contact form). IP addresses are anonymized. We don't collect names or emails through analytics — only through the contact form, which you fill in yourself.
• Nothing until you choose: No analytics cookies or scripts load before you click "Accept" on the cookie banner.
• How the app gets used (only with consent): If you accept cookies, we record which steps of the app preview people reach — that it was opened, whether the form or the Excel upload was used, that the template was downloaded, that an analysis was run, and that a recommendation was produced. These are counts of actions, so we can tell whether the app is actually useful.
• What you type into the app: The Order Otter app preview runs in your browser. The numbers you enter — your SKU name, costs, demand history, lead times — are processed locally to produce a recommendation and are never sent to us, with or without consent. The usage events above record only that a step happened, never the values behind it.
• The contact form: If you submit the "Book a custom build" form, the name, email, company, and message you provide are sent to us via our form processor (Formspree) so we can reply. This isn't analytics — it's information you actively choose to send.

Legal basis (GDPR)

For visitors in the EU/UK, our legal basis for analytics is your consent, which you give via the cookie banner. You can withdraw it at any time — see "Your choices" below.

Your choices

• Accept or decline analytics from the cookie banner on your first visit.
• Change your mind anytime with the Cookie preferences control (also in the site footer).
• Clear cookies in your browser to reset all choices.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, contact us and we'll help.

Data sharing & retention

We do not sell your personal data. Analytics data (if you consent) is processed by Google Analytics under Google's terms. Contact-form submissions are processed by Formspree solely to deliver your message to us. Neither is used for advertising or resold to third parties, and both are retained only as long as needed to understand and improve the site or respond to you.
